We’re Hiring Cisco Certified Network Associates (CCNAs)

Warner Communications is hiring Cisco Certified Network Associates based in Benton, Missouri.  Our CCNAs are responsible for designing, programming, testing, deploying, integrating, troubleshooting, upgrading and supporting end users on commercial DMR (digital mobile radio) systems and TETRA public safety two way radio systems. This includes IP-based voice and data networks, systems, databases, hardware and software applications.

We’re seeking Cisco Certified Network Associates with balanced expertise in planning and deploying IP-based radio communication systems AND providing friendly, professional end user support. Our CCNAs must be personable, patient and knowledgeable with Warner’s customers, engineers and Field Service Technicians while providing training and/or identifying and resolving technical issues. Qualified candidates must also be able to clearly and effectively communicate technical information and instructions to non-technical individuals. Therefore, successful candidates must be even-keeled,  customer oriented, team players, professional and effective communicators (verbal and written).


  • Plan and design complex wireless voice and data communication system deployments, upgrades, and expansions
  • Prepare and present RF coverage analysis using proprietary propagation and design tools
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations on system designs
  • Integrate and deploy systems to support commercial customers and public safety agencies including: mobile radio, digital networks, data systems, data applications, microwave, E911 phone systems and dispatch centers
  • Implement IP / MPLS network transports for site interconnectivity
  • Conduct system Details Design Review (DDR)
  • Conduct field system acceptance testing (ATP), and field Coverage Acceptance Testing (CATP)
  • Configure, test, monitor, analyze performance and troubleshooting
  • Create, document and communicate new processes as required by the needs of the Company, customers and technologies
  • Identify and implement product, service, process and documentation improvements and communicate to the appropriate groups
  • Participate in project briefings, provide feedback, and follow up whenever issues and defects are discovered
  • Improve the quality of the service delivery, minimize system downtime, and ensure that a consistent methodology is used when designing, deploying, patching, upgrading, or expanding systems
  • Provide training and technical support to Warner’s engineers, Field Service Technicians and end users


  • Bachelor’s degree in Wireless, Computer or Electrical Engineering (BSCS, BSEE, BSCE preferred)
  • Classes or internships with systems engineering experience
  • 3+ years of systems/networking experience
  • Effective customer facing communications and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of wireless data systems, Windows Operating Systems, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VMware Virtualization and Active Directory
  • Familiar with OS deployed within the system (Linux, Solaris, Windows, Enterprise, VMWare/ ESXi)
  • Experience with wireless radio systems and radio frequency (RF) propagation
  • Experience with Ethernet, TCP/IP and MPLS networks
  • Experience with IP microwave networks
  • Preferred certifications: CompTIA Network+, CCNA, VMware VCP, CompTIA Network Security+, Microsoft (MTA, MCSA)
